Hollerbach’s Has Heart was created in 2019, and launched this year in celebration of our 19th anniversary. However, that celebration was overshadowed by the worldwide pandemic that has caused massive destruction to lives, families, and ways of life all across the globe. One of the goals of this charitable organization was to fund and provide grants to hospitality folks to pursue education and/or business certifications. Now, the need for hospitality workers has become more dire, and we are focused on just surviving this crisis and finding ourselves unable to plan for the future in this era of uncertainty.
The hospitality and tourism industry is the backbone of our community and really our whole state of Florida. Without the hard work of millions in this industry, our entire economy falls apart. We are doing everything we can to assess new regulations and executive orders to navigate how to keep the business alive so that we can restore our staff and normal operations as soon as possible.
In the meantime, that meant a lot of serious decisions, including reducing our staff from a proud 100 to 85. My staff is my family, and these decisions were so difficult. Although we tragically had to choose some staff to take unemployment, I vow that I will not allow any of the people in my care to lose the roof over their heads or go without essentials. Those that are staying on are determined to help and all tips being collected from curbside orders are going towards this charity so that we can issue grants back to staff that are in need during this crucial time.
Please help us take care of my family so we can be reunited and continue to provide Gemütlichkeit in the months to come and beyond. You can help by ordering from our curbside online or just by donating to Hollerbach’s Has Heart now.
