What is Hollerbach's Has Heart?
Hollerbach’s Has Heart is a charitable foundation serving Seminole County. The foundation was created in 2019 and was to be launched August 2020 in celebration of our 19th anniversary. However, that celebration was overshadowed by the worldwide pandemic that has caused massive destruction to lives, families, and ways of life all across the globe. The need therefore arose to push up the launch date of "3H" to provide assistance to our team members who were affected by staff reductions that were necessary in early 2020.
One of the goals of this charitable organization was to fund and provide grants to hospitality folks to pursue education and/or business certifications. The hospitality and tourism industry is the backbone of our community and really our whole state of Florida. Without the hard work of millions in this industry, our entire economy falls apart.
Through a weekly fundraising event, Hollerbach's Has Heart facilitates fundraising for Seminole County Charities, resulting in $40,000 of moneys distributed to over 100 local nonprofits over the past two years. In addition to this fundraising program, Hollerbach's Has Heart funds grants for staff through the sale of artworks and ticketed experiences through the affiliated visual arts gallery Hollerbach's Art Haus.
Hollerbach's Art Haus recently contributed $3000 to Sanford Porchfest Foundation to fund arts scholarships for Seminole County youth through a charitable art auction, and regularly contributes a percentage commission of sales to local non-profit organizations through the Hollerbach's Has Heart foundation.
Thousands of dollars of staff financial relief grants have been distributed throughout 2022 to meet the need of staff facing financial hardship and property damage following the summer hurricanes, as well as on a rolling basis to assist with financial emergencies.
100% of your donations to Hollerbach's Has Heart will be used for grants and scholarships for local food service workers and their families.
